I dont think that is the case, the public in America loved Prince Naseem, the ratings on HBO for any Prince fight was through the roof. The public was very supportive of Lennox Lewis as well, or else they would not have paid big dollars to watch his fights.

guys like nigel benn and prince naseem weren't only boxers, they were showmen, and boxing needs more chracters like them, some people may dispute their overall boxing ability, but they can't dispute that.
