DAMN David Haye gets hit a lot, but good power.

Giving my second props thread (forum was down yesterday when I was trying to post it..). Mostly I was impressed except for the blatant fouls. Hitting behind the head on purpose is as bad as what Abraham did. He should have been deducted points or DQ'd after the second time he did it.

Everyone else notice how easy it is to hit Haye? One right hand from Wlad and it's lights out...he just gets hit too easy. Ruiz had no issues connecting on him for most of the fight.

Good puncher though, but Ruiz was shot, it was evident. I thought he had something left in the tank but there was nothing there.

Maybe Ruiz is gone for good now, but I doubt it....he'll beat a few nobodies and be back in the mix.

Oh and Ruiz had a punchers chance, they shouldn't have stopped it.

I'm seeing in other reports he got points deducted for the behind the head shots, I didn't even see that in the fight. I do believe those were DQ worthy shots. You don't hit someone behind the head when they're falling through the ropes with their back turned to you.

I clearly gave Ruiz a shot at beating him, for good reason, Ruiz has beat better fighters.

He still can't beat either Klitschko, he gets hit way too much.

The one shot reminded me of Hatton/Mayweather, except Haye actually landed. From my count 3 of the 4 knockdowns were due to rabbit shots.

Overall a pretty good showing by Haye. I think his power has carried with him to HW, but he did run an awful lot from an old, fat, hurt Ruiz.

ruiz looked like delahoya against pacquiao when he was throwing punches.

it looked like he had no legs.

he was tagging haye though , it just didn't have power.

haye is too easy to hit. he ain't gonna stay champ long , unless he keeps fighting the ruiz's and valuev's of the world.

Yea Haye has very poor head movement. Ruiz's jab couldnt miss. Haye has an incredibly uphill battle trying to avoid Wlad Klitschkos jab... highly doubt he can do it in just a few months time

Didnt see the fight, but are you sure haye was easy to hit? Usually in the past when he has been hit you could garantee hed pay a visit to the canvas.

He must have improved for the same reasons Pacman has, and nothing to do with roids.

haye mostly kept ruiz at a distance so when he was getting tagged there wasn't any power there to hurt him . I felt haye could have finished it in the first but was getting sloppy and was getting tired before he got his second wind in the the next half of the fight. His trainer adam booth said he hadnt sparred for 4 weeks coming into the fight so that might have had an effect on his performance.

Haye has improved so much since losing to Carl though. Who would have thought Haye would be in the position he is in now?

Shows that Haye has worked hard, and had natural talent in the first place. Seems so hard to beat now, even with the step up in class of opponents. Needs to fight the brother now.
