Comments Thread For: Haye Sends a Strong Heavyweight Message With Ruiz Win

Back in November when he traveled to Germany to beat Nikolai Valuev, David Haye attempted to send a message to the heavyweight division. Unfortunately the message sent wasn’t quite as clear as he would have liked. On Saturday, at the MEN Arena in Manchester, he got a second chance to sting Boxing’s most storied division awake. It was brilliant to watch, and overall a good performance but he shouldn't fight the K brothers just yet. Wait a while, one or two more fights in the division, then fight them.

He did add some credibility to an eventual Klit matchup.

But I think strong is a bit too strong of a word to use.

Yes really. Ruiz took the fight to Haye but was ultimately outclassed. Haye put a beating on a hungry bloke who wanted to win, and hadn't been stopped or seriously hurt in 14 years. Aside from the Klits, nobody is on Haye's level in the HW division.

At the moment it stands -

          Klits

          Haye

How can you say that if Haye hasn't fought what the Heavyweight division has to offer like Chambers, Arreola, Povektin, Solis?

Until he fights one of the Klits, Haye hasn't sent ****.

Haye keeps talking all this **** and 'sending messages' yet both Klits tried to fight him twice already and he ran and chickened out both times so .........
