I have followed Haye's career for many years and was at the Millennium Dome when he destroyed Enzo in two rounds.
It has always worried me a bit that Haye will take on the Klitchkos too early.
I've always thought he'd risk losing a big bout early on in his Heavyweight career and should get more experience under his belt first and let the brothers age a little more.
However, the more you think about it - what other options does the Hayemaker have? Who else would make a decent match-up and put bums on seats aside from the brothers?
The most ridiculous suggestion I have heard so far is that he'll defend the WBA belt against the winner of next weekend's Botha v Holyfield WBF title match-up!
More realistically, I think Tomasz Adamek v. Haye would make a good fight but probably wouldn't do too well at the box office and I cannot see DH being interested. Given his comments about Eddie Chambers, I cannot see that one happening either.
Haye v. Samuel Peter? Haye v. Kali Meehan? An all British affair with Sam Sexton? Blimey, there really isn't much else for Haye to turn too.
The more you look at the rankings, the more you realise there is a real lack of quality Heavyweights out there. So, I guess the boy Haye should go after the brothers and here's hoping he can unify the division for Britain once again!!
Happy Easter everybody.
