Considering Morales's win over Pacq is one of the best (if not The best) of his career, and the way he fought that night, throwing over 700 punches, fighting hard every round, outjabbing Manny, throwing some 400 power shots, I find it hard to believe he was past his prime.

I understand his peak was when he was super-bantam, but IMO many fans are too quick to just say a fighter in his past his prime. Morales wasn't, that was plain to see from his performance in the first 2 fights with Manny

The first Barrera fight...I expected him to beat Oscar cuz Oscar had been over the hill...Forbes marked him up and was connecting although he lost badly...

Obviously I didn't expect Pac to dominate every second of every round tho...

He was past his prime against Manny and was on the down side of his career. The man was already shot the second time he fought Manny. Who did EM lose to after his he fought Manny for the first time?

Zahir Raheem?...yeah, that was at lightweight, a bad weight for him and Raheem was a speedy slickster, it was a terrible stylistic match up for him. That style would've gave him hella problems at 122 too
