I Want Take A Moment And Apologize To Ruiz.

LMAO...I have always hated the guy and how he fights and how much chaos he seems to create in somehow getting in the way of other fights we'd rather see...But today he showed me more than i've ever seen out of him in his entire career. He was pressing and taking shots, he didn't even hold for **** sake. I was impressed with his resiliency and how he somehow tried to will himself to ignore Haye's punches and keep trying to land something. He complained but frankly he had more reason to complain than Hokins did and still tried to win the fight. He had haye looking tired and kind of made him look like he has problems with pressure at certain points. Haye fought in very small spurts against a lumbering lead footed man with less the 25% of Haye's handspeed. Haye won the fight no doubt but Ruiz was alot tougher than anyone expected and he proved that by damn near having his face caved in and still was going forward making his beard seem like it was granite. The Tua KO was along time ago and Haye landed more and maybe even more devastating punches and Ruiz wouldn't stop coming forward. haye clearly won but Ruiz was impressive in the sense that he came to fight and really made things tough for Haye who was not very active and seemed tired at points.

They shouldn't have stopped it, most of Hayes knockdowns were unclean. I mean I know Haye didn't purposely hit the back of the head because it looked like he got excited and threw alot of punches at once. It was kind of lame, also alot of the knockdowns shouldn't have been counted.

I think either Klitschko KO's Haye though, and I hope that fight is made next. If not that then Hopkins vs Haye. I don't want to see this bull**** Valuev rematch **** though.

Nah, it was a fine merciful stoppage.

Ruiz was taking a beating and didn't seem like he was going to turn it around and win while way down on the cards, no need for the guy at his age to take shots like that from a huge puncher if he realistically can't win.

I too think either K-bro stops Haye, he is an excellent fighter but still not a real HW physically and looks very blown up and actually a little soft at 220 when you compare him to Wlad at 245.

How bad was that ref? I didn't have the best quality stream but some of those knockdowns seem to happen because of Rabbit punches and the ref idiotically calls them knockdowns? I think the announcers even though british, weren't trying to be biased and said the refs doing a horrible job and should have given Ruiz time to recover and not called those knockdowns.

The British announcers were trying to be as unbiased as possible and basically said the ref ****** donkey ****.

True, wasn't the ref Tony Weeks. He's usually good ref.

They were on Hayes nuts but called it correct that Ruiz should have been give recovery time. I think three of the knockdowns featured rabbit punches, if the fight was stateside I wouldn't have been surprised if he had been disqualified.

No way they were gonna give Ruiz time to recover, they didn't and he still was trying to fight. He was throwing combos, slow ones but more than one punch didn't hold he put forth a good effort and deserved props.

Also i think I agree now that either K bros would beat Haye, and that sucks saying cause I hate them more for how they fight but also how they negotiate like ****'s with absurd contracts etc. But credit where it's due if either was in top form i think they would both win and would seem to possibly be able to bully him if they wanted to pressure and shock the world.
