I got alot of respect for James Toney.

Say what you will, He fought Jones, McCallum (3 times), Michael Nunn, Merqui Sosa, Reggie Johnson, Iran Barkley, Montell Griffin, Vassiliy Jirov, Evander Holyfield etc. A whole lot of top fighters and beat almost all of them.

This guy is one of the most underrated boxers of all time.

Hopkins on the other hand is extremely overrated. One of the most overrated boxers of all time and extremely dirty and boring to watch.

any boxing fan who knows skill when he sees it will agree. At 160 ans esp 168Toney was was the total package. He would have beaten Norris and Jackson at 60 too if he could still make the weight....he should have retired awhile ago though.....he takes alot more punishment than he used to and is punchy and fat.


My order is this:

1. RJJ

2. Toney

3. B-Hop


There is no way known the best vrsions of bhop are better than the best versions of Toney and RJJ. Bhop has marketed himself very cleverly but he is not as good as Toney or RJJ...he is a close 3rd.

you simply don't know boxing if you beleive that. In what department is hopkins better?

You need to go back and watch all of Toney's fights at 60 and 68.


Toney was faster at 160 and 168.

Toney has a better chin (one of the best ever)

He is just as skilled as Bernard (in my view more skilled)

He has more power than Bernard.


So why is Bernard better???
