Cuba has some good fighters, but alot of them just stay as amatuers which really dilludes their professional ranks. Casamayor would be a pretty glaring exception to this of course. Brazil has PoPo, theat is pretty solid.
What country produces the best boxers?

Australia is really a sleeper, they have alot of good fighters coming from out there, although wasnt Kostya Tzsyu actually born in Russia? Either way, there are a number of big Australian fighters, and alot of them (Kostya being an exception) are pretty young, makes you wonder if maybe there is going to be a swelling of young Australian professionals sweeping into the rankings in coming years.Comment

The United States emphasis is really on things that are big and bad and blah blah blah. So you see alot of our fighters dominating at middleweight and above. I would say in those bigger weight classes there is still a pretty dramatic United States presence. Where as everything below Jr. Welterweight is pretty much dominated by Mexico. Every thing from 140-160 strikes me as being basically a mixed bag with no one country have a real advantage.Comment
