BoxingScene Community: Be extremely careful sharing stream links! (READ)
i cannot stress this enough my friends... HBO and Golden Boy will be monitoring (like they usually do and have done in the past) all streaming sites and boxing forums for streams. to back up my statements (and see how serious it is.. i cannot stress this enough!), here's an official release published by golden boy:
"Golden Boy Promotions has announced that Saturday’s Bernard Hopkins vs. Roy Jones Jr. pay-per-view telecast will only be available on pay-per-view and will not be shown on a delayed broadcast by HBO the following week, as is commonly the case. The company also announced that the $49.95 pay-per-view telecast will be aggressively monitored on the internet and any piracy and/or infringements will be legally dealt with in a swift and immediate manner. The main event is scheduled to begin live immediately following the college basketball semi-finals."
guys i'm not doing this to be an ******* but to help you guys!!! i see some of you are really kind and nice like i am sharing links.. but if you share the link with the wrong people, YOU (yes you the nice guy who had nothing but good intentions) will pay for it when you get the stream cut right in the middle of the fight.
Who are these "wrong people" i talk about?
hbo/golden boy employees who're paid to scout sites and forums for streams and with the authority of their company, order to shut them down. they register in forums and will ask you like a innocent polite member.
example:
"hey friend.. i'm very poor
i dont haz money for ppvzz please be kind and share a link with me
ps my mom died yesterday"
they will misspell on purpose and act as normal as possible. do not fall for this. they usually just registered OR have already registered before ..
since trying to make out who's an agent or not is not that easy (some new members might not be agents). it's simple:
share the links with members who have a history with this forum. people who you've seen posting around frequently, those who you see are part of the forum (you see them frequently.. they post frequently.. whether annoying or not doesn't matter, if they form part of the daily community they're good candidates).... use some common sense.
AND DO NOT POST THE LINKS IN POSTS, SHARE THE LINKS PRIVATELY!!!
posting them publicly is the same as sharing it with the agents because it'll be visible to everyone!!!
i can't sress this enough!! i only bother to post this for our enjoyment really!
it'd suck being nice and kind and have good intentions .. but sharing with the wrong people and sitting down with a smile on your face because you've been nice.. ready to enjoy a fight and out of nowhere fight freezes and you tink about me and what i said.
