        Shock

So many guys talk today about shocking the world. Ali shocked the world twice with Liston and Foreman. These guys today couldn't shock Toledo

When Douglas/Tyson went down, wow, I remember the next day that's all anyone would talk about at school.

Plus, everyone was dreaming about how much they coulda made if they'd put some $$ on Douglas.

            Hehe.

People seem to forget that Curry was seen as pretty much invincible at the time, so Honeyghan deserves a mention too.

I was just on my way to post that the great man who coined the phrase did it twice!
Douglas beating Tyson was big though!

When this fight happened, I was onstage at The FuzzClub in Newport, Ky.
The owner, Gene interupted me on stage after he watched it in his office. I announced it to the crowd after the song ended and a drunk sitting up front STILL wanted to bet me 100 bucks that Tyson won! Utter disbelief!!

Speaking of Ali, what about Fraizer the first time they fought? Who was the favorite in that one?

Also, Tyson/Douglas is one of the biggest upsets in sports' history. It is DEFINITELY up there with the biggest boxing upsets. No one expected for Iron Mike to EVER lose, and Douglas showed the whole world that this invincible man was just a human afterall.
