Up to 147 he gives any fighter in history a good fight. ATG means different things to different people, so debating it is pointless.

Olympic medals mean nothing in professional boxing. If you win a gold medal, I think that's an amazing accomplishment, and I'm not downplaying it at all. However, professional and amateur boxing are very different. Many olympic gold medalists have very unsuccessful pro careers.

Anyway, de la Hoya is definitely a hall of famer. However, he lost all his biggest fights, so I wouldn't call him an ATG.

dlh lost every big fight he was in against every prime great boxer he fought.

tito, ssm, pbf, pac, hopkins, etc...
