Comments Thread For: Valuev's Trainer: David Haye Will Beat John Ruiz

The coach for former heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev is picking David Haye to retain his WBA heavyweight title when he defends later tonight against John Ruiz in Manchester. Valuev is the common opponent for both fighters. He won two close decisions over Ruiz and lost a close decision to Haye last November. Alexander Zimin is picking youth and speed over Ruiz's experience. [Click Here To Read More]

Haye should have this one. Ruiz won't be busy enough to take a decision. And while a KO is possible, it just ain't likely. I think Haye will outwork Ruiz to get his points. Won't be a lot of heavy contact with all Ruiz' clinching.
