Sugar Ray Leonard had a brief spout with ******* I didn’t lose respect for him either, what he did in the ring was what kept us all glued to his talent.
    Tiger Woods legacy tarnished?

When in reality you shouldnt hold that hate for a man. I hate Mayweather the boxer for beating down Hatton. But i dont hold it too the man and wish that his IRS issue makes him pennyless.
i never liked Lacy and you know what ill say about the Roy fight so i wont even bother.

what matters here is that you care what a grown ass man is doing with his free time away from boxing.

if he were active i may give a ****.

      but he is retired

see the problem with you brits is that the few fighters you have pride in are ****ing lame.

      Calzaghe slapped like a *****

      and

David Haye is a heavyweight version of Floyd Mayweather(without the skill)

I don't think he will retire forever. IMO, he will come back again because of money.

so you should give ****..a little bit

It's YOUR social responsibility to make smart choices. People need to be accountable for thier own actions and stop blaming others for any decisions they make they turn out to be bad ideas.

If his behaviour doesn't directly affect you then you have no business commenting on his personal life.

The point is, if you are not looking at someones life (who happens to be a role model) you are pretty one dimensional as a person.

I could of worded my post better, I personally don't care what he does in his personal life, I don't like what he's doing, but I don't care I respect the man for what he did inside of the ring.
I find it interesting to look into boxers lives to see what they did and I do find a lot of them somewhat inspirational e.g Bernard Hopkins and Mike Tysons stories.

But this is their life not mine, I can't change what they did and what they're going to do, if they do something bad like take drugs it's none of my business and it shouldn't be anyone elses to interfere.

If they're a role model you look at their achievements and how they overcame struggles, not the bad things.

I've gained respect for him actually. I always thought he was just a bit of a dork with a strange relationship with his father before but when I heard the news that he snorts coke out of professional dancers' ass cracks in his spare time I just thought, "good on ya son".

All I judge him on is his undefeated career. I know that a very large proportion of celebrities do drugs and that Calzaghe's only mistake was getting caught. The story is not in any way a revelation to me and has absolutely zero impact on my opinion of Joe Calzaghe the boxer.
