I did a thread a long time ago in the history section about the best puerto rican fighters and Ruiz was not considered since he was not born in PR, not among the best, and I would pick Cruiser Carlos De Leon if i wanted a big man.
In fairness, the most talent Puerto Rican fighter was born in Bronx, NY but pretty much lived his entire life in the island and that was the Radar Wilfred Benitez who beat three hall of famers Duran, Cervantes, Palomino. Took both Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard pretty much to the max. The youngest champion in boxing history at the age of 17- a record that never will be broken. If trinidad thinks he is better than he needs to put more 10 more pounds of that wrapping tape around his gloves.
