This is if you want my honest opinion about it. The timing was just never right for the fight. I'm sure if Roy hadn't have suffered his first loss against Tarver Hopkins would've eventually moved up and fought him. But what did Hopkins do? He fought the guy who beat Roy Jones. So you can't say Hopkins has been scared to fight Roy Jones for all these years when he owned the guy who basically ended Roy's career. It just doesn't add up. I've lost some respect for Hopkins for taking the fight at this stage though. And he should've given Chad Dawson the shot at him he deserves. Just my two cents.
