In the audio clip, (which I highly recommend listening to. It's in another thread, but Ill post it also.) He shortly speaks of not trying to take 6 or 7 months off. He says he is suppose to fight every 5 months. Said he was allowed to take another fight if he wanted to.
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/leave-i...ballero-and-evIt was very short sequence back and forth. It was just a guy asked him that it's a ways away, and Dirrell said that he is suppose to fight every 5 months. A guy asked if he's allowed to fight in between, and he said, yes then got off track on how the doctors said to not fight for a month, and they didnt discuss it after that.
American Andre Dirrell beat German Arthur Abraham on a disqualification for a shock win in the Super Six super middleweight tournament in Detroit.
Dirrell slipped in the 11th round as he took a glancing blow to the chin from Abraham who then struck his opponent while he was kneeling on the canvas.
The foul resulted in Abraham's first loss in 31, although Dirrell was winning on points before the incident.Comment

Well he's guarateed a title shot, so he shouldn't fight someone risky, but he shouldn't be fighting some bum either. Maybe he should fight Karoly Balzsay (former WBO champion) or Robert Stieglitz (current WBO champion).
Dirrell should have no problem with those hacks.Last edited by Boxingwizard; 04-04-2010, 12:47 AM.Comment
