Take it easy Ricky, the Klitschkos dominate and have mastered their craft. As a huge Hatton fan I'll say his fights "aren't the greatest', GREATLY supplemented by the atmosphere he brings to a fight.

I'm actually agreeing with Lead Cenobite!

Ricky Hatton is showing his lack of class in bashing the Klitschkos, who are both much more talented, athletic and skilled than Ricky.

I'd MUCH sooner watch the Klitschkos fight than an unskilled brawler who had no defense other than the chin which eventually failed him.

I once had a black guy tell me that he never knew a black man who rooted for Marciano. Racial politics do make their way into boxing, like it or not. But I get the feeling that in the Klitschkos' case it's a lot of old white limo-******** who started writing about boxing in the Ali era who resent the Klitschkos for being white. I went to a talk by an older ***ish boxing writer in Brooklyn a month or so ago and he was the biggest Klitschko hater around. He even went so far as to say a middleweight from "back in his day" could knock out Vitali Klitschko. This is the same Vitali Klitschko that took Lennox Lewis's hardest uppercut right on the jaw and didn't even wobble. So you know there something going on there that has nothing to do with boxing. It was pure hatred, yet because it was aimed at an Eastern European, it was acceptable at Brooklyn College.

Carny, calm down. Haye is more exciting than the Klit's man

His fight against Valuev was a total bore -- he even set a Compubox record for fewest punches thrown.

The "excitement" Haye has created at HW has mostly been via his mouth, because the lazy fooker hardly ever fights and when he does, he stinks the joint out. Neither his Barrett nor Valuev fights were anything to write home about. He hasn't even approached anything on the level of Vitali's total dismantling of Arreola, fer crissakes. He'd better put on a show against Ruiz, or he's in for some serious problems. Time to walk it like he talks it.

Not to me. The Klitschkos are the most exciting heavyweights of all time - more than Tyson, Dempsey, Ali, Holmes, etc.

I don't enjoy Haye's fights, yet I've awatched the Klitschko's fights over and over. A Klitschko fight to me is what the superbowl is to an avid American football fan.

                I respect that

Depends what style you like, and I hope that it isn't just because they are white. I don't mind if it is a little, because how we identify to a fighter is also important

Well if that's the honest truth then you enjoy them

Heck will you post the punch stats with Lennox and Vitali if there's a thread?

                  That is one fight.

Yes it was bad. OK move on, you're like a woman who brigns up **** I've done wrong in the past

Yes, the fact of the the Klitschko's domination of the HW division for over a decade greatly bothers some people. About all that is left to criticize them for is to say they're not exciting enough, even if they almost kill someone as Wlad did to Chambers.

I expect the Brit flag-waving from Hatton, Froch, etc., even though I get the feeling some of them don't really like Haye very much. I've also heard from some reliable people that much of the UK press that fawns over Haye in print actually dislike him as a person. It will be interesting to see what happens if Haye has trouble with Ruiz.

Well, you make my point for me, because if the lazy fooker Haye would actually fight more than once a year, there would be more to talk about where he's concerned, wouldn't there? Vitali fought 3 times in 2009. Haye fought once. And he wants to retire in a year or so? He's a very strange guy.
