Now that Cotto has Steward in his corner...

Do you guys think he can make it back to the top? I would actually be fn pissed if he retired within the next year or 2 now. He has a world class trainer now, one that won't be afraid to tell him what he's doing wrong like his last trainer. I really think he could be more COMPETITIVE with Pacman & Floyd now and I think he'd beat Maragcheato anyway either way. Even a Mosley rematch would interest the hell out of me my 2 favorite fighters rematching! I actually think if Shane loses that should be their next fight after Cotto fights Foreman so we can really see how much Cotto has left. Just a lot of hope now that he has a great trainer. Can't wait to see what this means for him!!!

Removing that joke of a trainer can only help. Some fighters can train themselves, some need real guidance in the corner.

Cotto is still young, and now he got himself a better coach I think he can get back in the spotlight.

Couldn't agree more. I mean its probably a good move for the end of your career to cash up on some big match ups up there before your done, because I would have loved to see him fight Pwill, Cintron, Kirkland, Sergio before he went out but I think with this new trainer his prime might have just begun after Steward fully 100% gets into him. I think he needs to drop back down ASAP.

No he's shot. He has no heart, a trainer can't teach you heart. Cotto is a poor man's Tito he'll never be at the top unless by "the top" you mean defeating Yuri Foreman.

Um and where the hells your proof? No heart are you fn kidding me? He stayed battled it out deep within to just barely steal the fight from Clottey. Lets see your fn heart taking a beating from plasterfisted Margarito, a lesser man wouldn't have last as long as Cotto did. And he took everything Pacman threw at him for 12 rounds. So to question his fn heart is ridiculous. I could understand you if he had an incident like Ortiz quiting against Maidana, but Cotto has never quit and has always tooken the beating to the very end. He could have easily sat on the stool and refused to come out against Margarito and Pacman in those final rounds, but he came out and went down fighting. Thats fn heart man.

And how the phuck can you say someone is shot after losing to the best P4P fighter in the world? So if Manny beats Mayweather as dominant as he beat Cotto, does that mean Floyd's shot? It just baffles me because your pre much discrediting manny's claim as a top pound for pound fighter by saying his biggest win is over a shot fighter.

Quitto quit against Margarito, he took like 15 knees and ran across the ring. He ran from Mosley too. Quitto has no heart and is shot.

Yes if Pacquiao utterly destroyed Floyd by annihilation like he did to Quitto I'd say Floyd was shot too.

Cotto sure as hell didn't run from Mosley. He did the same damn thing Oscar to did to both Mosley and Trinidad, when he thought he had a comfortable lead and that he had the decision locked he pressed off the gas pedal not to risk the last round.

And so it's can't be that manny is just that damn good? Anybody he beats is just shot? Clottey's shot then? Manny dominated him. At least Cotto was man enough to take Pacmans shot, Clottey covered up like a girl. And ok, let's see how long you'd fn last against Margarito's plasterfists. He took one knee, maybe you should actually watch that fight. Collapsed the 2nd knockdown and his uncle threw in the towel. HIS UNCLE stopped that fight. Cotto would have tried to hold on til the final bell.

I think Cotto is finished regardless of who trains him. He is damaged goods and borderline shot right now. If he loses to Foreman, he's completely done.

He will never be what he was pre-Margarito.
