I was just reading some article in spanish where they quoted gonzalez (on of gamboas managers) and caballero also,
Caballero's camp said first things first but he wouldnt really see a fight with gamboa just yet. he said if everything goes well against yordan he would look for a different opponent for his next fight and then after that they would start thinking about gamboa for maybe the end of the year and claimed that it was way too early to talk about a possible matchup between them
on the other hand gonzalez said that there are a lot of rumors about gamboa-caballero but there isnt anything concrete he says that they are really looking at the winner of the IBF championship fight Cristóbal Cruz and Orlando Salido
i just wanted to drop this since theres so talk about gamboa-caballero and by the looks of it its not going to happen in july but who knows
i didnt even know cruz is defending his title soon, i dont even see that fight listed anywhere here is the article if anyone wanted to read it

El campeón cubano estará en Panamá en la pelea de "El Nica"
El representante del campeón mundial Yuriorkis Gamboa, el abogado cubano Tony González, dejó descartada por el momento la posibilidad de un enfrentamiento entre su campeón y el panameño Ceslestino "Pelenchín" Caballero.
"De esa pelea hay muchos rumores, pero no hay nada concreto, nosotros estamos pensando en el ganador de la pelea que sostendrán el campeón pluma de la FIB, Cristóbal Cruz y Orlando Salido", dijo González.
Las palabras de Tony González se dieron en rueda de prensa realizada por Eventos del Istmo, en Crown, y en donde el cubano-americano habló sobre la pelea de su pupilo Feider Viloria contra el panameño Irving Berry el próximo 22 de abril, en la velada donde Luis "El Nica" Concepción defenderá por segunda vez su corona mosca interina de la AMB ante el mexicano Eric Ortiz.
Esta aclaración aporta a las palabras del apoderado de "Pelenchín", Rogelio Espiño, quien señala que un combate Gamboa-"Pelencho", sería un gran atractivo, pero primero se debe salir del invicto indonesio Dau Yordan, el 10 de abril. "Primero es lo primero y veremos qué pasa en esa pelea, si todo sale bien, buscaremos otro combate y entonces pensaremos en Gamboa, eso puede ser como a final de año, hoy es prematuro hablar de una pelea entre ambos", especificó.
