height-classes?

My issue with the fighter in question is not that he is too tall, its that he is simply a bigger man overall than every single WW who has ever fought probably in the history of the sport.
If, he was coming in at 157, 158 or so for WW fights fine he wouldn't be too big but Pwill standing on a scale for a couple seconds doesn't not automatically make this fair competition.
I am well of aware of him being within the rules, but that doesn't mean I have to approve of a considerably larger man fights smaller ones when there are plenty of fighters his own size at 154, and 160 for him to fight.Comment

valuev is too ugly for the human race division.
just plain ******. You ought to get tased in your balls for 3 minutes.Weight classes are an antiquated relic from boxing's primitive era.
The future is is body type classes.
If you're 5'8 like Cotto you fight at guys that look like you at 5'8.
You wouldn't fight 5'9 guys like Abraham. You would fight Randal Bailley.
Body type classes are the future of the sport.
No mismatches will be possible.
its only used by *****s who want to marginalize paul williams as a opponent for floyd due to the fact that he could beat floyd.I keep hearing that P-Will is too big to be at WW. But, if he can make weight then how is he too big? Because, he is tall? But, we have weight-classes not height-classes. So for anybody who thinks that P-Will is too tall to be at WW then can you answer the following questions for me.
When are you too tall to be in a certain weight-class?
When are you too short to be in a certaing weight-class?
Its not a ridiculous argument because of the 24 hr rehydration. If we went back to old school same day weigh in on fight day, then the height classes is a ridiculous argument. Hugo Cezares had no business fighting ivan calderon weighing in as a junior lightweight on fight night. This friday night weigh in is a blatant manipulation, abomination, & mockery of the weight class divisions of boxing.Comment

Yeah, I understand your point. The same could be said for Mosley, Donaire, Hasegawa, etc.Its not a ridiculous argument because of the 24 hr rehydration. However, I maintain if you can make the weight, you can make the weight. Eventually, the fighter cutting all the weight will come to the point they can no longer do it. Their performance will suffer.Comment

I have no problem with him being 6'3" i just hate how he says everybody is ducking him at 147. Well no ****, he's 6'3", so while he's whining about not getting the big fights at 147, why doesn't he just move up? Hell why not give Martinez a rematch and a full training camp?I keep hearing that P-Will is too big to be at WW. But, if he can make weight then how is he too big? Because, he is tall?
