thats the beauty of it though, cotto cant reach his head lol so i give cotto a good shot at beating williams since williams ribs will be at cotto's eye level.

williams is tall but gives it away by the way he fights. also hitting williams is like throwing a rock in the ocean. if cotto comes back strong and beats forman in impressive fashion, i give him a good shot at beating williams.

I see what you're saying..but Cotto hasn't thrown a Body Shot with meaning since Zab Judah..Margarito was 5'11 and he kept trying to smash his head in..and as u say..Williams does give his height up..but so does Cotto..he leans in wide open for the uppercut..and Paul Williams will have that set up all night..I can see it now..flickery ass jab with BOMB uppercuts to follow..

I wouldn't mind seeing it..but I wouldn't be to confident on a Cotto victory..

Cotto was thinking of fighting Foreman at 154 so people theoretically matching him with PW isn't that far out of the realm of possibility. Prime Cotto would whoop Paul's ass IMO. Not sure about now though.

around 07/08 I wouldn't hesitate to pick Cotto to beat Paul, but if the fight happened today I think P-Will would own Miguel

Why would you want Williams to fight Cotto? Williams is too damn big for WW.

Well, if we use Kelly Pavlik as our standard we find that a Kelly Pavlik vs. Miguel Cotto would never happen and shouldn't happen because Cotto is too small for him.


Yet Paul Williams was scheduled to fight him 2x and nobody thought Williams was too small.

Everyone viewed it as a legitimate fight.

Which means, Paul Williams is too big for Cotto or anyone else in the division giving him an unfair competitive advantage there.

Yes, he fought Margarito, but Margarito is an unusually big WW himself at around 5'11 or so.

And even HE looked small against Williams.

I could understand if you hate Cotto (not really), or if you're trying to hype up a fight for Paul Williams, but its a dumb ass argument either way cuz' Williams is too damn big.

AA is an inch taller than Cotto (supposedly) and he is a solid 68' guy.

This is like the most idiotic post I've read on here all day. The talent gap between Foreman and Williams is fucking night and day. I don't see Foreman being competitive with Sergio Martinez at all. Sure a lot of people thought Martinez got robbed. But he even admitted on the fight news interview that he thought it could've went either way and he was falling down in the last round from exhaustion. If you say Cotto can beat Williams, he better not duck him then.

I even hear some people criticize Cotto for winning vacant titles, but at the same time give him a pass for not fighting Paul Williams. I'm willing to give Cotto credit for his win over Quintana because he was highly regarded at the time. And Cotto had to fight for a vacant belt at 140 because Hatton didn't want anything to do with him. Fair play. But you can't criticize Cotto for winning vacant titles and at the same time give him a pass for not fighting Paul Williams because at the end of the day Paul Williams > Michael Jennings.
