Nobody has a problem with Andre Ward employing Victor Conte? Double Standards Much?

I definitely have a problem with it. I know Conte's not dumb enough to give him anything that might land him some trouble but he sure is good at not getting caught. Besides, what are the chances Ward and Chambers have had to go through even decent testing?

i think he hired conte because conte knows the ins & outs of drug testing. this is a man that provided steroids to marion jones that BEAT OST. marion jones never failed OST.

It's also worrying that with money, today's era of cheating, lack of testing...that you can find a good chemist to help you cheat. Conte knows about some stuff about PEDs but he wasn't the creator of the PEDs his athletes used.
That's why I've always said, right or wrong, everybody is suspect in today's era. I try not to think about it to much while I'm watching the sport though.

Great post, Benny. I agree. I can't help but think about it though. It sorta ruins the fun, like you when you were a kid and would get all excited when one of your favorite artists released a great song out of seemingly thin air. Then you get older and understand what marketing and promotion is and it's not quite the same build-up. I don't put it past any fighter. Even Floyd. But I'm glad - so glad - that he brought it to the forefront. Someone has to do it, when the people get so caught up in what they're witnessing that they completely ignore the 800lb elephant in front of them. I try not to think about it too but it isn't easy. I'm just thankful it hasn't dampened my love of the sport.

There is no double standard mr Hate giver. The testing in place is absolutely worthless and Victor conte said as much himself.

Victor Conte is the main guy telling everyone that the tests suck. He is GOOD for boxing in the same way a hacker useful to the Government. Your entire thread is a Fail.

That would be quite a slap in the public's face if it were true, wouldn't it? Do I think that's it? No. But what kind of fool pretends it's not possible when giving out undetectable drugs is what made this guy famous?!?!

There was an article on here from the BBC that contained an interview with Conte. According to the article, Conte is doing things legally now and is working with the WADA.

However, even if he is doing things by the books, I think it does look bad and Ward would be better off without Conte. People will always have their doubts.

Still, I'm giving Ward the benefit of the doubt. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if he or any other athlete was using. It's just the era we are in.

I do not remember exactly, in regards to WADA. It said that he gives legal supplements though.
