I have only seen one fight of Sosnowski, which was against Danny Williams, a man Vitali has ko'ed in the past.

I thought he looked like a good boxer. Of course Williams wasn't a huge threat when they fought each other, but still, I think people are very critical of the man.

Valuev didn't want it, and Solis hasn't even had 20 pro fights, Haye is busy. Who is there to fight ? He looks like a decent opponent to me, much better than Arreola and Johnson, that's for sure.

By the way, does someone know if Sosnowski's EU title will be at stake ???
I know it's worth nothing next to the WBC belt, but I was just wondering since he presented himself with the belt...

Lawrence also has never knocked anyone out in the ring after 44 fights, but nearly knocked Sosnowski out in their fight, which Lawrence won by a wide margin.

Sosnowski is unacceptable as a HW contender.

List of better names to fight that could've been in play:
      Chagaev Meehan Eliminater
      Povetkin IBF Manditory
Valuev Don King will never let it happen, was offered 2M
Tony Thompson fair - wouldn't mind seeing, Wlad has beat him though
      Sexton - don't know, can't imagine he's any better
Dimitrenko - I actually think Sosnowski is better
Boytsov - Would like to see but same trainer
Solis - would be okay but Solis is green and obese

the list goes on. Sosnowski will be obliterated.
Not great but i do think Sosnowski will make a fight of it for as long as it goes and will give 100%

Ideally I would like to think that, but he's in for an ass kicking.

I've thought of this before but quickly reminded myself that the winner would still be standing in a wasteland.

It would sure as hell stir up excitement for the HW division for that one fight though.

            Solis

the list goes on. Sosnowski will be obliterated.
Chagaev- Destroyed by Wlad, making the fight pointless.
Povetkin- Waiting on Wlad and not ranked in the WBC.
Valuev- Vitali tried desperately to make the fight but Valuev knew he was getting clobbered and priced himself out.
Thompson- Destroyed by Wlad, making the fight pointless.
Sexton- Right in line with who Vitali is fighting.
Dimitrenko- Badly beaten by Chambers, who got obliterated by Wlad.
Boystov- In the same stable and knows he is nowhere ready for a Klitschko fight.
Solis- Still not ready and would not have been ready to fight by May when he fought just a week or so ago.

As you see, the list was pretty thin and at least Sosnowski has a very good record and does have a decent TKO win over Danny Williams. Solis has beaten nobody whatsoever and only has had 16 fights.

Excellent synopsis. At least we know that Sosnowski will SHOW UP IN GREAT SHAPE (unlike Vitali's last two American opponents) and give it all he's got -- which probably won't be enough, but hey, it might be a good fight for a few rounds. The people pissing all over Sosnowski are the typical cranks who haunt these boxing boards.

Guys, Vitali (not being pretty... young) beat 4 contenders within a year and a half! Give him a break! I, myself, would like to see him in the ring with Valuev or Haye, but at this stage of his career I think he deserves to chose whom does he want to fight...

When it comes to such old guys (Vitali, Holyfield, Hopkins), who have already earned their legacy, I don`t think they have to prove something and to fight Top competition all of the time... As for me, they did enough to just take some money fights without being bashed...
