I mean Ruiz is no push over but he is old and hasn't had a big win in years.. So does anyone actually think Ruiz could pose a threat and possibly get a decision over Haye? I know it seems a long shot but Ruiz is more then capable of bringing Haye down to a nitty gritty fight right? Of course anything is possible in boxing and everybody has a punchers chance but can Ruiz win a convincing decision?
Does John Ruiz really have a chance to beat Haye?

I think he is a live dog, I mean he is boring yes but Ruiz is good.....it really hurts my soul to say that but he is.
I would go as far as to say that Ruiz is the best opponent that Haye will have faced.
Ruiz though outmatched in terms of athletic ability against Haye has a way of upsetting the flow of an opponents offense and has underrated power.
He could sneak in a right hand on a frustrated Haye later in the fight and put him down as Haye is known for a not so iron chin. -
As ts said, Ruiz hasnt had a decent win in years, and he didnt look impressive vs Serrin, but with Hayes chin you never know i guess.
*Edit, someone also brought up a good point that Haye is simmilar to heavyweight roy jones in movement and handspeed, and Jones caused Ruiz all sorts of strife.Comment

What makes you think Haye will KO Ruiz? He's been in there with a couple of punchers and hasn't been knocked out if i remember rightly about 14 years ago. Haye is no bigger of a puncher then David Tua. I only see Haye winning a decision to be honest.Comment

Ruiz doesn't have a huge chance, but I give him better than 5:1 odds. I haven't seen enough of David Haye at HW to make an accurate prediction. 2years ago I would have said Haye steamrolls him, but a performance against an old journeyman Barrett and running from Valuev for 12rds hasnt impressed me.Comment
