Undefeated WBO jr. welterweight champion Miguel Cotto, 23-0 (19 KOs) will be holding a public workout, this Saturday (June 4) beginning at 3 PM in an outdoor ring at 152nd Street (between Jackson Ave and Tinton Ave) in the Bronx. Cotto, who is in his final week of training, makes his Madison Square Garden debut on June 11, defending his title against 2000 Olympic gold medalist Muhammad Abdullaev, 15-1 (12 KOs). The Bronx public workout is part of the 152nd Street Festival, attended by more than 10,000 people annually. As a special treat to his fans, Cotto will distribute "fight" headband souvenirs to the first 500 people to watch his training ringside.
