Cotto doesn’t belong at 154 weight class to begin with, say he beats Foreman and wins the strap, then he would have to contend with other 154 monsters in that weight class i.e. Angulo and Martinez to name a few. Not a good idea.

      Yep.

He beats Foreman he is staying at 154 until he loses, then he is probably hanging them up.

Yeah, I think he comes back down to 147 if he can make a big fight.

I belive that cotto will return to 147lbs. He will beat foreman, but afer that their arnt reallly any guys under top rank banner at 154lbs apart from margarito who is fighting at 154lbs May 8th. Maybe a rematch with margerito may happen

I think he will retire if he loses to foreman, which is likely imo

I don't think Cotto should go to 154. I think he should rebuild his career at WW. When he is ready to step it up again Pac will be retired.
i hope he does return to 147

Yes he is. I think he retires after 2 more fights at most, both at 154 pounds. He loses to everyone at 147 other than the guy with the IBF title. I think Berto even beats him at this point.

well... it could happen but i see it like this (if a floyd fight were to happen).

cotto would have to win at 154... if he wins he'll be a draw at that weight since he's holding the belt. mayweather would have a chance at another belt at 154... and the bragging rights to have beaten cotto at 154 when manny beat him at a catchweight of 145. i'd look better than if floyd fought him at 147 for nothing where he (cotto) currently doesn't have anything... you understand what i mean?

also cotto is having problems making 147 (starving to make weight, etc etc) and at this point in his career he'll be more comfortable at 154. the older a person gets the more likely he is to gain weight.. also cottos walk around weight has increased if you've noticed.
