I'm a casual boxing fan, I only really follow the sport loosely.

if you are hurt you can take a knee and it'll be considered a KD.
I see, thus making it a 10-8 round? I guess that would be the disincentive for a fighter to drop to his knee any time he felt like it.

Is this why you thought that Hatton winning against Mayweather?

Lederman (a fat yank of note) also had him up for much of the fight, this despite one of the very biased reffing and Hatton fighting outside his natural weight class.

Mayweather is just another Dirrell, Taylor, etc. they love to dance around and pitty patty but when the going gets tough they need the ref's protection and being Americans fighting in the US they usually get it. Come to Europe and they're carried out of the ring.

          Roy Jones Jr, March 2010

          (interview from FH)
          Abraham:

Y'all must of forgot Roy, lol
Those fouls from Roy were worst and Montel's reaction looks like an act-a VERY late reaction. He actually looked at the ref like he was going to complain-almost in mid sentence! lol

Of course you're a casual fan, Only a casual fan or a ****** would have Hatton winning against Mayweather before he got KO, well maybe if you're Hatton' mother.

You are joking!!! Ricky Hatton made a career out of holding and hitting. When he couldn't do that-he was ****ing useless.
If he fought Kostya in any neutral country,he would have lost.
When your biggest European fighters in the Super 6 have come up against the least experienced, green American UNDER-DOGS-they left the country with stitches in their face and left whinging like stuck pigs!

Casual fan doesn't mean what you think it does. I've been watching boxing since Michael Watson was in the ring, I know how to score a fight. I'm just not an obsessive boxing fan like some. Hatton outworked Mayweather for the first 6 rounds of that fight despite some horribly biased refereeing, the latter's decision to deduct a point changed the course of the fight still further.

one headbutted his way through the fight, the other cried like a baby and got a DQ gift, neither was a legit victory. They were both fraudulent. Kessler couldn't even see and AA was robbed of an opportunity to finish Dirrell off because of his faking tears.
