    Whats with Don King

When i was growing up he was a top notch promoter, nowadays he barley makes a difference in boxing, sure he has a few fighters ,but he has not kept it up like Arum has and they are both close in age,why is that is he so greedy he has not lined up his #2 yet.Is this the end coming close for him who will takeover his spot, its seems like these days beyond gbp no new promoters are doing ****.

Don King has promoted great fights such as rumble in the jungle etc and many other great fights but apart from that hes just bad news...majority of people have nothing to say anything good about him...he was imprisoned for man slaughter before he became a promoter and rips off every fighter, hes corrupt, hes a degenerate, hes had 13 or more law suits...even allegations of bribing the I.B.F..

Once the hardest worker in the business, he is too old to do that anymore. He is in his 80's. I thought he'd have is son Carl take over the family business but that never happened.

with his ruined reputation, it will be very tough for him to bounce back especially with his age now, in promoting boxing, where media is always vigilant and critical.

I think what happened is that there arent a whole lot of good black heavyweights, something DK used to be good at signing

Well People like Don King/Bob Arum are old school promoters, Their influence on boxing is going down especially with the Big networks who prefer working with the new brand of promoters that they have available these days.
