I love the sport cause there is no room for mistakes, one-on-one fighting, no team. Like Emanuel S. said at the DLH ko, if this were another sport they would just put someone else in. (NOT IN BOXING)

I guess I love boxing for all of the same reasons as you guys but especially because of the amazing characters that I have been honored to learn about.
My life would have been an emptier place without the Greatest being a part of it. He made me laugh, made me believe in miracles and inspired me to stand up for what I believe.
There are so many more who had a strong influence on me. Who could not be moved by the stories we have heard about "Schoolboy" Bobby Chacon, Jake LaMotta, Jack Johnson.......the list is immense.
The image of Big George Foreman waving the flag proudly after other members of his Olympic boxing team had raised the Black Power salute in protest of the treatmnt blacks endured at the time. Good points made from both sides.
Dramatic moments that no screenwriter could imagine. Stories of courage and perseverance that left me in awe.
And all of it done by an individual........no teamates to blame for failure...glory or shame shouldered by one person.
There is nothing else like it.

I love it for so many reasons, but it has to be the one Yoko said, two guys and all eyes on them showing us everything they have, their heart and their guts all for the world to see.
nothing compares to it, tennis is the same.
Another thing is that anything can happen it only takes one clean punch to turn a dominated fighter into a winner.
That is what keeps me on the edge of my seat and that is why i love boxing

          My Reason

When Boxing is at its best no other sports touchs it. It should be one of the most popular sports, the fact people like sports like Golf instead disgusts me. Boxing is by far the toughest and most excitng sport, everything is on the line each fight. In any other sports if your down by alot chances are you are going yo lose but in Boxing one good punch and you could win. I like Basketball to but it not a sport you can talk that much about, unlike Boxing where there is always somthing to talk about. I love Boxing

It's one of the only sports where it's one on one, man to man, (Or Woman to Woman).
and the mere fact you can be getting your ass kicked the whole entire fight and still win in the dying seconds is unreal, there is no team sport like that.
If you play in a team and you are getting thrashed all game and then with thirty seconds to go you play awsome, you will still lose.

But if you are getting an ass whoopin in boxing you can still KO the guy in the last round and win, so that in itself is great.

The fact of how skill and blood and guts mix together masterfully. I dont think there's anything on the planet that can mix artwork & brutality, and make a masterpiece.

I love boxing because its like a modern day version of the Gladiators of the old Roman Empire.

Two warriors battling it out though not to the death, to claim supremacy over his opponents. The Crowds watch every movement of the fighters and their breathing slows and speeds up in relation. When another loved fighter has the other fighter in trouble the crowd cheers and gets noiser and nosier... encouraging their man to finish his opponent off, When the fighter succeeds the crowd goes wild and cheers of nationality for some and of name for others come roaring in.

There is art, skill, conditioning, speed, and power all of which play a part in their role as fighters.. switch their gloves for swords and they are basically gladiators!

Some fighters fight for the Glory, other play it safe and pick up their check.

Boxing seperates the men from the boys!

There is nothing i love more than watching a wanna be hard man come to the gym, get beaten up and never come back.

Oh yeah, boxing is also the most exciting and unpredictable sport to watch.
