I been big on this guy form the start when i seen him fight in California, I agree 100 percent with you people can say what they want about his opposition but Omar has the talent and hes coming up the same way Miguel Cotto, Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya ect came up people want to rush this guy but he is the future of boxing and he will be undisputed champion for sure at 154 imo!People can say what they want about his opposition. He's extremely talented and I love watching him fight.
He's a junior mw IIRC but yes, he is the future of that division and will be running MW in the future.
No doubt he'll be champion, but that's probably a year or 2 away.
If his management was smart they'd have him fighting every 3 weeks or so to build his record and have him climb the ranks for a title shot sometime in 2011.Comment

That's what I'm sayin'. People want to bash his competition, but nobody faces C or B fighters when they first start off. You have to have about 20-25 W's before you start to fight A fighters and can even attempt to take a shot at a title.I been big on this guy form the start when i seen him fight in California, I agree 100 percent with you people can say what they want about his opposition but Omar has the talent and hes coming up the same way Miguel Cotto, Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya ect came up people want to rush this guy but he is the future of boxing and he will be undisputed champion for sure at 154 imo!
Too bad there are Cotto troll's that are pissed off that Cotto gets his silly putty face demolished every time he faces a top contender, aside from his victory against Mosley, Cotto has never been very impressive.
Henry would dismantle a guy like Malignaggi, unlike Cotto's far from impressive performance.
I'm tired of the comparison, TBH.Comment

Yeah, because I have a history of anti-Cotto posts... right?
Cotto fought Justin Juuko in his 10th fight and kept fighting former title holders and contenders after that, so that's not true.

Exactly, which is why saying he is the future of the light middle and middleweight divisions is premature. Sure, Henry's exciting and couldn't really be finishing the cans any better, but it's too early for this type of talk.
A couple months ago, there was a fighter that broke the record of knocking out all of his opponents in the first round and was stopped in his first step up against Carson Jones. The kid looked real athletic and had a lot of talent, if he had Henry's hype from his 6th fight, he'd have been touted as the second coming of Tyson. **** doesn't workout like that.
Why did the Cotto comparison came in to play anyway?Comment
