Oscar gets no love on this forum.

I think people forget how great he was. He was unbeatable in his prime and has a good chance of taking on any ATG in history. He was incredible.

Tell me about it man, he is one of my all time favorites, I came up on guys like De La Hoya in the 90's and 2000's. This guy is a legend, hands down. Margarito cannot share the same ring as him..

            That's the truth.

Go and watch any of Oscar's fights from the mid 90's to mid 2000's. His speed, accuracy, style, footwork, power, etc. was spot on. He had an iron chin and was an incredibly smart fighter on top of it all.

yeah his looks were a big part of his claim to fame and his ability to sell ppv's.

Even women wanted to watch him fight. He's one boxer than most women know of.

He was very good in his prime, The fights with Chavez were crazy. The Mosley and Vargas fights were great also. I think DLH gets alot of stick because people think he was overrated, and he did make a helluva lot of money for his fights and lost his biggest ones you could argue (Trinidad, Mosley, Mayweather) although you could make a case for him winning at least a couple of those fights. He got I think 50 million for the PBF fight which seems like alot for any fighter.

But a prime DLH was a beast, no doubt about it.
