Roy was a good commentator. He was absolutely better than Lennox Lewis & he never hated on the fighters. But anyway that bigot Larry Merchant couldn't stand him that's why he isn't there anymore. Same thing happened with Big George Foreman.

Where did you read that? I'm curious cause I always wondered why George left. I assumed it was because he was tired of the bias BS that Lampley and Steward spewed every fight.

I heard George stopped to spend time with his kids, but he sure did raise Merchant's hackles. Merchant (Lampley too sometimes) seemed to cringe every time George opened his mouth. George was (in)famous for saying some crazy, non-sensical and contradictory ****, but he also came up with some really insightful gems from time to time. I thought he was pretty damn good. Better than Roy IMO. Roy was better than Lennox though.

Like everyone else I want Roy to win but its hard to see it happening
