Why did B-Hop choose to fight a shot Roy Jones?

Bernard Hopkins may be older than Roy Jones, but he's looked far from being shot in his past fight.

However Jones was barely a shadow of his former self in his fight with Green. He looked terrible.

Is Hopkins taking advantage of the shot Jones, to avenge his loss of many years ago?

It's a grudge match, something hopkins always wanted to get revenge for.

They panned on fighting before the green loss and after it hopkins justified the fight still being worthy in his own way.

Hopkins lives in his own universe, one that revolves around him. Beating jones is very important to him, no matter what stage in the game they are both in he just wants to be able to say he beat him.

Isn't the reason obvious? High monetary reward for relatively little risk. Plus he gets personal revenge, even though he's facing a sad shell of Roy.

MONEY, reason calzaghe fought him. Hbo on their main website said that hopkins and jones jr. avoided calzaghe for yrs, so maybe it was more then just money. I don't know, you have to talk to calzaghe about that whole situation.

He hates Roy and feels inferior to him. Now he thinks he can overcome this inferiority complex by beating an old version of Roy.
