He didn't necessarily stand in front of Abraham, but he certainly did not run. He boxed from angles properly and moved effectively. I think he was looking to just hit and run a little towards the end of the fight, because he was winning by a good margin and he knew what Abraham is capable of in the late rounds
Did Dirrell Run Most Of The Fight Or Stand Toe-To-Toe??

dirrell was outwoking AA and splitting AA's guard. I didn't think dirrell could punch that hard.
dirrell threw a lot of punches... way more than he did against froch.
imho, if he threw that many punches against froch and turned him, he would've beat froch easily.Comment

AA's problem is that he waited for dirrell to finish to throw his combo... that is the flaw of all peekaboo boxers...lack of seamless transition between offense and defense.Comment

he stood in front of AA and unloaded. but when AA was ready to throw, dirrell had already turned him or backed off out of range.

Perfect example of boxing. He used angles and effective movement without having to stand and trade or run. It was closer to toe to toe than running, but not really either.Comment

didn't look like to much running to meComment

I didnt see much running..he was on his bike way more in the froch fight. He didnt go toe to toe but he stood his ground for the most part. if he did that against Froch it would have been an easy decision for him. Probably a KO.Comment
