Comments Thread For: A Whole Lot of “0’s” Goes: The Post-Weekend Report Card

By Cliff Rold - Arthur Abraham came into Detroit on Saturday night as the favorite to win the Super Six Super Middleweight tournament; came in the perceived most dangerous man in class; came in undefeated.

He’s still probably the most dangerous man at 168 lbs. but his favorite status is in question and undefeated is no more. [Click Here To Read More]

In my opinion, Andre Dirrell is one of the more gifted fighters in the game and it’s almost a shame that he was put into the Super Six at this point in his career. With less than twenty professional fights under his belt, he’s had to face Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham and that’s a lot to ask, given his level of experience. And in Phase Three of the tournament, he has another difficult task when he faces Andre Ward, which is a fight that I don’t believe he will win. This tournament is a tough way for a young pro to come into his own and it may have been better in the long run if he was brought along more gradually. Once the Super Six is over, time will tell if Andre Dirrell has matured professional, or if all the wars have slowed him down.

risk the "0". fight the big fights. I am looking forward to a rematch between Abraham and Dirrell. And I hope they use another referee.

            fast foward to 5:28

Arthur Abraham is a douche for what he did. Anyway he reminds me of the Roger Mayweather VS Pernell Whitaker fight.

I say get Kenny Bayless in every major fight out there. He's the business.

dirrell is doing pretty well though.

                he should be 2-0.

                froch was absolutely embarassed.

abraham was able to hurt him a few times but overall he put on a good show of boxing against the very good armenian.

The experience he is getting now is invaluable. You can already see that he learned something in the Froch fight and subsequently changed things up for Abraham.

And he looked much better by making those changes.

In my opinion it's far better to sharpen your sword against good opponents than to try to do it against tomato cans.

It's how the great fighters of the old days learned their craft.
