I didn't see any reason for Abraham to get DQ'd...

So Dirrell slipped and got caught with a big punch, this happened in a matter of 1 or 2 seconds, clearly not intentional punch by Abraham, you would throw bombs too if you saw your opponent slippin' and slidin'. Any fights that I've seen is when a fighter slips, his opponent continued to throw punches. It's the referee's job to hold back the attack. The reason why this fight came across as "dirty" is because Dirrell got caught in his "hometown". Protect yourself at all times...

    Who disagrees?

    To the tabloid Abraham says:

"Should I have waited untill he raised again? Every fighter must take his chance to land the KO-punch. As the referee did not go between us I felt it was OK to punch."

    Agreed...

If Dirrell didn't act and got up it would't have been a DQ maybe a 2 point deduction. But obviously Dirrell "supposedly" was not able to continue.
Dirrell is smart tho. fair play to him.

Regardless of intention it was a foul. You cannot hit someone when they are down. The rules regarding that are clear and the proper thing happened, a DQ.

He did KO Dirrell though. It would be unfair for Dirrell if the fight continued after that devastating punch

It's not really a debatable topic. He was clearly down, and he was clearly punched while down. Whether it was a slip, a punch, a dive, whatever, you can't hit a fighter while they are down.

Even Dempsey was courteous enough to wait till his opponent's knee was off the ground.

                  Dirrell was clearly acting
the ref didnt do his job and step in after a knock down
AA should be DQ'd but Dirrells acting made things way worst than they really were

I would have taken that same punch, this is boxing and AA is a knockout fighter, you don't stop throwing until the ref steps in. I do think he should have got a deduction and I don't mind the DQ since he did KTFO of Dirrell and if Andre had kept fighting he would have been at a huge disadvantage because of an illegal punch. But then again a guy like Cotto fought Clottey with a huge cut that was caused by a head butt. I don't think Dirrell was acting and if he was he should switch careers cause that was one hell of a performance he pulled off, but in my opinion he was hurt bad. People don't think it was a big punch but it was, it was a right from AA and it clipped his chin pretty good.
