I'm disgusted by so many people thinkings it was an act.
Why were people picking Abraham by KO? I think it was the combination of Abraham's punching power, as well as the common notion that Dirrell had a bad chin.
So wait, a lot of people who believed both of those things are under the impression that a flush punch from Abraham when Dirrell was defenseless and didn't see the punch coming at all was... acting?
I mean, wow... was there an epidemic of closed head injuries recently?
****ing nonsense...
Anyway, I feel really bad for Dirrell having that happen, and having to see that so many morons think he was acting. That would be very tough to have to take.
I wanted to say something like this.....you beat me to it!!.....I had Abraham by KO because I felt like Dirrell couldn't take a good Abraham power punch, NOBODY in the division can!!.....so it would have SUPRISED me if Dirrell could've continued after takin' that shot while he was down.....I don't think Dirrell is that durable.....because of this I picked AA by KO and it would go against my logic to thhink he was faking after what happened.

But how soon people forget. Since Dirrell took a few Abraham punches throughout the fight, I guess there was no punch that Abraham could throw that would knock him out.
What's really weird is the same people who say that Dirrell is faking are also the ones who are saying that Abraham was on his way to getting a KO in this fight.
Right, but you had to suffer through your favorite getting knocked out by a pretty mediocre career junior middleweight.
That's a ****** comment don't you think? When he suffered the loss that was about the time he lost his mother, but who cares anyway..st pierre lost he came back better than ever, pacquiao got knocked down and lost by some thai dude via a stomach jab..Think then speak homie.

1. I didn't know his mother died at that time.
2. Of course you can lose and come back better than ever.
3. All I said is that it must have been tough to have to deal with your favorite fighter losing to such a mediocre fighter. Are you insinuating that it was easy or enjoyable to deal with it?

Read then reply... homie.
No it wasn't tough at all..it was tougher watching tyson get beat by some flubby irish dude
I'm not in the (Dirrell was faking it) camp. But it is a little su****ious, when after the illegal punch landed, Dirrell looks up at Abraham as if to say (what did you do that for) and then he quickly falls on the floor and starts to shake.
Anyway, Abraham deserved to be DQ'd, which is a shame because Dirrell was still hurt from the previous round, and one more big shot may have been all it took to KO him.

Weird...
I got into boxing in 2007, and since my taste of what to like in a boxer has changed, so have my favorites. I had never had a favorite fighter lose (while he was my favorite fighter) until Winky Wright got his ass kicked by Williams. I was a little bummed out by it, but not awful because Wright is pretty old, was coming off a long layoff and was in against an awful style matchup. His potential was mostly behind him is what made that one easier to take.
The second time it happened was when Dirrell lost to Froch. That one made me furious. I thought Dirrell won. It was also a travesty because Froch should have been so easy for Dirrell to beat. Two guys who fight in a straight up boxer/puncher style... the match is there for the taking for the faster guy. I was pissed because I thought Dirrell would get sparked by Abraham, and that was probably going to be that for his career. I'm glad I was wrong.
It just seems strange that you would be pissed that Tyson lost at the end of his career (and it was an end that should have happened years and years before) and not that Sturm got knocked out when he was very highly rated by most people (because of how he took De La Hoya to school).
Anyway, how is Sturm's promotional dispute with Universum going? I used to really like Universum, but they are really acting like petty children when it comes to people not wanting to fight with them anymore. It's fairly obnoxious.
