Is there enough time to find young PPV selling stars for boxing?

As we can all see Pacquiao, Mosley, and Possibly Mayweather will retire 1-2 years from now...How can we have a new PPV attraction in boxing? One of these guys are gonna have to lose to the new faces in boxing in order to keep the market and future of the sport active...We're noticing guys in the 140 pound division that have good personalities and their image can sell...Some of them will have to beat the elite sellers in the game...Valero vs Pac needs to happen in order to allow a new attraction to the sport...then you can make a semi mega fight with Maidana (28-1-27kos) vs Valero (27-0-27Kos) and people will buy into the record of the fighters and to the fact that valero had beaten pac, and build it from then on...we don't have a vargas, dlh, mayorga, prime hopkins, morales, and winky era anymore where those fighters could sell and be marketted right...we're watching fighters that are at age 32 and up selling ppvs, but the young stars that have alot of fight in them left but they cannot get a mega fight? This worries me, because if we don't find atleast 3 young stars very soon boxing may die...you thoughts?

**** PPV. Im fine if no one becomes a PPV attraction, and fighters become cheap enough to fight on espn, abc, nbc, etc.

I worried about this a lot too. But, I think with the 140 division as good as it is now, there isn't a lot to worry about. I think Pacquiao and Mayweather are going to be past their prime in a couple years and a Tim Bradley or a Devon Alexander will be able to beat one of them and then the torch has been passed and 140 will shine brighter than ever.

Ya. I don't know. I just wish boxing could get back on regular TV. A sport can't truly thrive and become popular on PPV. It just can't.

I mean oh boy!!!. 1mil bought the fight. Meaning, around 4-7mil watched it. There's 300 million people in the US. It's not exactly expanding that way.

Nah I think this year he might fight Alfonso Gomez and next year probably a Berto or Bradley if he moves up. He's got 3 more fights this year with Golden Boy so it's all good. He's only 19 but has a huge fanbase already.

Yeah that's the way boxing is unfortunately. Good for the promoters and fighters. Bad for the fans.

I think the problem is that there is not a good undercard or a good show like roach stated...if they put up performances and a very good undercard instead of having FNF no bodies on the undercard then it would be awsome...have atleast one fighter that headlines on BAD on the undercard and put up an amazing show and you will have PPV success...or better yet put the undercard fighters on 24/7 as well...
