All Hate Aside was anyone else impressed with AD's chin

Going into the fight I was worried that AA might catch him with his hands down and lay something heavy on him. He did connect quite a few times, and Dirrell stayed in the pocket and fired back, even knocking him down. Aside from the DQ discussion, was anyone else impressed by that?

He didn't really get hit too cleanly.

But yeah, he did take a few bombs pretty well.

In the third he took 2 big shots, and I was for sure impressed.

No, Abraham landed less than 10 decent shots, most of them he didnt have good leverage and only clipped Dirrell, Dirrell went down off Abrahams only real good shot, and was then sparked out by a glancing blow from abraham and was outcold for like 5 minutes.

I was just impressed with his performance in general. He had a grea gameplan going in and boxed with AA as opposed to slugging it out with him. Great head movement, footwork, and angles really frustrated the guy. I wanted to see AA knock him out, not because i dislike Dirrell or anything but because I'm an AA fan, but I can't say that fight didn't make me a Dirrell fan. It's just unfortunate it had to end the way it did. And o answer your question, yes i was impressed with his chin, although i think with his footwork and head movement, didn't seem like AA hit anything too clean other than that big shots in the 4th.

In defense they're feet were in fact tangled. I don't mind if it's called a knockdown, but the feet were tangled. You can clearly see this in the video.

And lol @ glancing blow. He took a shot square to the chin while on the ground, completely defenseless and unaware a punch was coming his direction.

its not about the amount of bombs. abraham is not a fighter who hurts his opponent via an accumulation of punches. he has legit 1 punch ko power and he hit dirrell with some good punches.

dirrell's got a better chin than i gave him credit for.
i used to attribute his style to his inability to take a punch, but that's not the case.

He definitely took at least one really good shot. It's hard to say on some of the others because he gets hit with certain shots while he's trying to go straight back and I don't know if he has a weak neck or what but his head goes flying back every time, same thing happened against Froch.

He's got a decent chin though at the least.
