Ward beats Green (which he will).
So Ward is through to the semis of the Super Six, with 4/5 points (depending how he beats Green, although decision is more likely than KO). But yes, he is through to the semis - before he even has to fight Dirrell.
Both Dirrell and Froch are on 2 points at the moment. IMHO, Froch loses his next two fights against Kessler and AA. That still leaves with him 2 points.
Now, if Ward beats Dirrell, then the latter remains on 2 points, level with Froch. Now we assume Carl goes forward to the semis based on their respective head to head in which he "beat" Dirrell (stings me everytime thinking about how Carl got the decision in that fight. Anyway, I digress.....). And while Froch goes through, Dirrell is eliminated with Green.
But imagine this scenario.....if you are Andre Ward, would you go all out to eliminate your good friend, your fellow Olympic team-mate, your fellow American, just to push...Froch through, even though you don't even need to win the fight? We've all seen the solidarity between the Andres before.
Could this scenario conceivably happen?
