I think Carl Froch is underrated.

I mean, i'm not the dudes biggest fan, never have been. He looks a bit weird and talks a bit too much for my liking, but the dude gets hated on so much, I don't understand it.

I think that people underrate his abilities, he is good at measuring distance, has a very good chin, respectable power, good stamina and heart.

Granted he is slow, and defensivley lax, but if he was super fast with great defense, then he would be like the best boxer in the world, everyone has their failings.

Anyway, as i say i'm not his biggest fan but i do feel he is underrated around here, with people calling him a bum and stuff like that. I mean if he really was a bum doesn't he deserve respect for all these huge upsets he's pulled off.

Froch is an unusual fighter. He does not do anything amazingly well but has a whole heap of intangibles that he brings to the table that make him a winner. He has a Jack Sharkey style of boxing but a poor defence and takes too many shots but has a great chin and always turns up in great condition. He is a heavy handed hitter a good thinker in the ring that seems to find a way of working out his opponent and finding a way to win. The main thing I like about him is that he steps up and backs his mouth. He does not duck tough fights and behaves like a champion should. He is not a protected champion looking for cherry picked opponents. I can see Ward and Abraham beating him but they will have to work hard to drag out the win. Dirrell showed how a slick boxer can cause him problems and Ward is better than Dirrell. Abraham is the heaviest hitter in the tournament and despite having a great chin I don't see him being able to eat up too many heavy shots . The Kessler fight is a pick em 50 50 fight-but I feel Froch will just edge it. If and when Froch loses he will go out on his shield.

I'm looking forward to Froch vs. Kessler, it will be a great fight.

Both are lion-hearted warriors. Unlike with Dirrell, we won't see any bitchy acting, running, holding and falling from these guys.

Froch is a limited fighter with alot of heart. I'm not a fan of his, but he comes to win all the time even when most people believe Froch is out-gunned he still pulls off the victory. And Kessler is looking like dog-poo lately, I don't know why anyone is picking Kessler over Froch.

I believe Froch has a bigger heart then Kessler and Kessler fights like a robot kind of moving in straight lines and jabbing. I don't think thats going to work against Froch, unless Kessler dramatically changes his style. Kessler has poor adaption skills!
