No one could compete with him. Not a chance.
I've been sticking up for Dirrell all morning and rightfully so. He wasn't faking.. He dominated, and picked apart Abraham with ease.
I don't buy the whole Abraham was going to ko Dirrell in the last 4 minutes. Come on.. For real? He didn't land one punch in the entire 11th round up until the illegal shot. Dirrell was fully on his bicycle, and is way to fast. Even if Abraham, did land, Dirrell showed the ability all fight long to take his punches.
This is where I leave Dirrell's side even though I am a big fan of his now, after last night. If Abraham would have came out of the block with the kind of urgency he showed beginning in the 10th rd, there is no way Dirrell would have withstood it the entire fight. He would have broke down Dirrell and knocked him out.
In fact, I don't think there is one guy in the world who could with stand Abraham if he fought like Tyson. It's well known Abraham looks up to Tyson. I wish he would adopt his style.
