I think that Abraham could have stopped Dirrell in the 12th

I hope there will be a rematch, because Abraham definatley figured out that Dirrell is uncomfortable fighting going backwards, note i didn't say "bad" at fighting backwards, but uncomfortable.

In the round before the KO Abraham imo legitimatley dropped Dirrell, and was starting to find the target on Dirrell.

I realise that revisionist history has Dirrell schooling Abe for 11 rounds, and I admit that Dirrell was looking really good, but Abraham always gives away the early rounds, and I think that he was starting to figure out Dirrell.

Who knows what would have happened if the fight continued, Dirrell could have won a wide UD, or Abraham may have finally got to Dirrell, as he was getting increasingly close to doing.

I think a rematch would be interesting, as Abraham would know that he had a better chance if he pressured Dirrell, and Direll would want revenge for being sparked.

Yer.... Abraham landed some HUGE shots in the 11th.

    /End Sarcasm.

The only shot he landed got him DQed.

    FAIL.

Sure Abraham is a big puncher and if he caught Dirrell he would have been knocked out, he did catch him with an illegle blow but if he managed to get Dirrell out of position he could have possibly done that for real.

I didn't like his chances of doing it but the chance was there.

everybody keeps saying that he always gives up the early rounds and granted he does but come on now... he didn't just give up the early rounds he gave up damn near every single round.... he was getting exposed... and one can only assume what would've happen next but none the less he gets dq'd and he now gets a L...

I wouldn't even say Dirrell was schooling him.

Beating him? Sure. But Abraham wasn't throwing very much at all, and Dirrell is very slick. So when Abraham is barely throwing, and what he is throwing, is being dodged...Abraham was basically giving the rounds away for having such a low output and letting Dirrell throw so many punches at his gloves.

The most damage Dirrell did to Abraham was the head butt in the 7th. I could count the clean punches Dirrell landed on my hands.

Once Abraham started letting his hands go, he was definitely starting to gain a lot of momentum. It was unfortunate because you could see him gain momentum starting from the 6th, but the Ref did everything possible to not allow that to happen. Stopping the fight at the most inopportune times, for ****** reasons.

i thought dirrell would have had enough stamina to just run and spoil for the last couple rounds , it would have been interesting to see but abraham ****ed it up

You saw a pawing jab with no power and Dirrell's back leg slip out on a ring canvas advert.

I'm with you! Dirrell slowed down and Abraham was stepping his game up late in the fight.. He even knocked Dirrell down, but of course that was ruled a "slip"
