I think Abraham's chances were only that of a lucky punch..apart from that, Dirrell put on a clinic and really made me start to like the kid. He even out-slugged Abraham at times (which was probably not a smart thing to do).

Full kudos to Dirrell, I only just feel sorry that the odd German or Armenian are going to question his win as controversial. I really feel that the ring speaker Lennon should have announced the points landslide also just to make people know the real deal.

By that point in the fight, Abraham was starting to look very desperate. He wasn't punching with the precision and confidence he usually has in the late rounds and looked very sloppy. The only thing that was likely was Dirrell winning a comfortable UD. He had a punchers chance of course, especially a puncher of his caliber, but the delusional thought proccess around here suggesting it was anything more than that is clearly just butthurt fanboys...

Same here. I even thought Direll would run all night. I also think this fight will be a stinker. But I guess he learned from his mistakes. He showed in that night that he can fight without "running".

I didnt like Direll but I was impressed at his performance until the DQ happened.

Dirrell was gonna coast.....Abe was supposed to pick it up earlier and had this guy outta there before the 11th.....Dirrell made many many stands in that fight.....Dirrell backed him up....stood and traded....countered him....he didi it all......Abe got worked over and there's nothing I saw that makes me think Dirrell was in danger......Dirrell was in control and because Abe had never been in that position before, he hit the panic switch and lost control.....simple!!......he got outboxed by a boxer......punchers usually get frustrated when that happens to them!!

Though Dirrell was down in the 10th-if you watch the knock-down,there was contact with both Andre and Arthur's feet. When Dirrell got up a second or so after-he did not look hurt like some people are suggesting. He still used his boxing skills and had his legs under him.
By the time the 11th round came,Dirrell was still very evasive.Abraham was desperate and needed a KO to win,but could not accomplish this when he was in the earlier rounds, stronger and fresher.
He showed more urgency, but in prior rounds when he opened up,he would either miss, not connect strong enough to pose a threat, etc
Just because Abraham was chasing Dirrell more frequently does NOT mean anything more significant than the previous rounds would have landed.
All in all,if his only gameplan was to search for a lucky punch-he needs to go back to the drawing board, because that is a weak gameplan to have against people that can move....

No one knows exactly what would have happen in the last few rounds to be honest, Whether AA would come on or dirrell would have enough energy to run in the last 4 minutes.

Dirrell would of coasted to a UD regardless. Throwing wild swings for 20 seconds a round doesn't do much but impress the AA fans.

Don't get me wrong, I feel Dirrel had a 85% chance to get the UD, however reading other posters, some think it was 50/50 and people like Green, Lou Dibella at ringside seem to feel he was hurt badly.

He was on the run so it's possible.

I havent seen the whole fight so i cant judge much but Dirrell wasnt hurt against Froch and he pretty much ran in that fight too, So for anyone to suggest he was running because he was hurt might be ridiculous...Dirrell doesnt need to be hurt to run.

i agree dirrell gave him a boxing lesson but dirrell was getting tired from all the running. aa was on the verge of stoping him. too bad the fight ended like it did or else we would've found out if dirrell was gonna make it 12 rounds.
