    The Big Winners/Losers in May

Who were the biggest winners in the boxing world during May '05??? Who made the biggest impact??? Here's my top 3:

    1. Lamon Brewster - this year wil be somewhat of a heavyweight debate with no unification fights in sight, but Lamon has made the 1st big statement of the year with his 53-second win vs. Golota, as of right now he may not be the People's Champ but he definitely has bragging rights and has gained a lot of noteriety

    2. Gary Shaw - 2 years ago Shaw was barely a blip on the promotional radar, but in the span of 8 days his 2 biggest clients had the biggest wins of their respective careers (Chico and Winky), great work by a good man in the sport

    3. Anybody named Chavez - Julio, Jr., and Jesus all looked dynamite on the Staples PPV card, bring that show up here to Sacto!!!

The big losers were Golota (obviously), Bob Arum (can this guy ever accept that his fighter lost?), and Dale Brown (we could argue this one all day, but you gotta cash in on every chance you get in this business, and if Brown was in tip-top shape he would have been world champ without debate, Bell was ripe for a KO loss and Brown couldn't come thru)

who are YOUR big winners & losers for May???
