What Guzman did was wrong and I'm not too happy about it either. He could have been champion yesterday but didn't make weight. Hate to be repetitive but how does 9 lbs have anything to do with why Funeka couldn't even lay a glove on Guzman?

Nah man, that double jab wasn't working. All Funeka threw was the jab and Guzman had an easy time slipping that. Even on the inside, Guzman didn't allow him to find any leverage.

he really did. you were probably to busy watching your guy punch his opponent on the ground because he was desperate for a ko down in the cards.. how ever i thought he faked it.
i agree with this post it made me sick watching the lil arrogant jerk smile and showboat all night long, it was a welterweight taking on a lightweight for gods sake

Its one thing to miss weight the way Castillo did and look remorseful and ashamed by it.
But Guzman smiled his way through the weigh in and the fight and FLAUNTED the fact that he could not be hurt by Funeka's punches w/ the added weight.
He is a vile human being who showed no remorse at all. Given his contempt for the sport, its clear he never intended to make weight.
Which makes this even worse since it was premeditated.

Poor Funeka can't seem to catch a break. Max Kellerman's speech on professionalism and the deterioration of sportsmanship in the sport was dead on.
I just wished he said it before the fight started.
