Ha, ha . Low blows. AA is notorious for always complaining every time he gets hit with clean BODY SHOTS. He gets away with that oversees, but not here because we call that good body work. It's his weak spot and Direll exploited it all night. And as far as the knockdown, what about the second knockdown that Direll scored on AA and the ref let it go? What about the doctor working on AA's cut for a good 45 seconds? WTF was that about? I think that more then evens it out. Brought with the fact that Direll dominated almost every minute of every round.
i dont care if he dominated 15 rounds kid, the ***** was runnin like a girl, takin knees like a ***** when he wasnt even hurt, Put him in the ring with abrahama again and he gets koed.

I like Abraham, he cost himself this fight though.

He had a good chance of stopping Dirrell in the later rounds, but he instead opted to fight dirty and hit Dirrell hard while he was down.

I personally think Dirrell would of survived to win a decision, Abraham upped the workrate to late imo.

You pinned it down but blind follows the blind I guess. And I'm saying this as an European.

Everytime Abraham gets hit by a perfect body shot he throws his arms down a looks over to the ref to say it's low....wait...let me think...who else has done that against solid body punchers....oh yeah, Ottke. He just got away with it.

My opinion of Abraham has remained the same, really. His biggest flaw is his overconfidence in his punching power. Normally that's not so big a deal, but when your work ethic stretches the definition of "patient" to breaking point it is. And when you carry that work ethic onto your opponent's turf it suddenly becomes a millstone around your neck.

Abraham blew any chance of the fight by letting Dirrell outwork him. Watching the way AA moved around the ring waiting, waiting and waiting to land the big bomb you'd swear he began the fight with a six point advantage.

I don't subscribe to the idea that when you're on the road you need to knock your opponent out. That's not being fair to the judging panel. But you MUST give the judges something which you will be remembered for during each round. If you don't you only have yourself to blame.

AA should have taken the fight to Dirrell from the first bell. Yes, it's not easy against such a slippery customer. But if you've done your homework on your opponent and you throw enough leather (without burning yourself out) chances are the judges will notice you. Instead AA allowed Dirrell to win rounds easily with one or two decent shots. That's suicide and Abraham paid the price.

In Abraham's defence, I don't think he genuinely meant to pole-axe Dirrell whilst on the floor. I think it was more of a reaction shot. The DQ was right. But I don't think AA deserves to be further punished. I've seen a few of his fights he's not a ****** fighter.
