What was up with Dirrell after the fight?

He started crying, hugging his promoter, trainer & assistants. He left the ring right away without comments without hugging his family.

Was he really hurt? Don't get me wrong the punch landed that Abraham threw when Dirrell was down.

Something else: I personally think that the Referee was a damn ******. Abraham getting lowblows (3 of them). A clear knockdown in round 9 which i first thought wasn't a knockdown but in the replay you could see clearly that it was a knockdown. As far as i know the referee should stay close to the fighters which he clearly didn't; hell he was even laffing when dirrel slipped.

But ofcourse if the fight would have been in Germany maybe it would have been the other way around.

Anyway on the other hand i'm kind of happy Dirrell won cuz the tournament gets more interesting this way.

Sad it ended like that! I was shocked & i think so were the most fans.

    Ps.

ROFL at Marco Huck entering the ring to defend Abraham against the Dirrell corner.

Yea he really was awful. I think Abraham realised that everything was against him.

Abraham not getting the Kd recognized in 9th was ****ed up but as i tought it would be, he had to stop Dirrel to win and he did stop Dirrel. What Abraham did was wrong but it was an understandable wrong given the situation.

This is true, although a big finish would have been better. Dirrell is a massive knockout waiting to happen though. At some point he's going to get caught big time and I think he lacks the mental fortitude to fight through it.

Another factor is that Dirrell has a tendency to fall on the floor a lot and so far referees have been kind to him. A couple of slips in a fight is one thing but he falls very frequently. In a way it's no surprise he got hit while he was down.

What was ironic was that he geniunely slipped this time.

Watch Kessler-Andrade. Ofcourse that fight needed no ref as they are both gentlemen.
