I was AT Dirrell-Abraham tonight at the Joe

First off let me say that this was one of the best matchups Ive ever seen live, and second that it was a great card overall despite a few mismatches and some boring fights, but let me tell you this as well, for as much as everyone hates on Dirrell on these forums, you cannot ***** one bit about how he performed out there tonight, it was the best LIVE display of the sweet science Ive ever witnessed personally. Dirrell threw more, stayed behind his jab, and even with Abraham keeping his hands in front of his face most of the fight, Dirrell punished him with body shots and stayed behind the jab landing almost at will, and throwing his straight lefts/rights and pushing straight through his gloves, busted Abraham up, and knocked him down for the first time in his career, and shouldve been number two as well but the ref ruled it a slip, rightfully so and Abraham it seemed to me scored on a knockdown of Dirrell they ruled a "trip"... He slipped in the same spot twice tonight, both in Abrahams corner... Kinda su****ious, but lets talk about the real issue... Anyone who says Dirrell faked is ******ed obviously, and second, he won the fight hands down, they were right in disqualifying Abraham, you could feel from the opening bell that Dirrell was going to dictate the pace of the bout, and after Dirrell knocked him down for the first time momentum completely changed favor and Dirrell poured it on to AA, Arthur knew he was going to lose this fight (it was the 11th round of the bout and I had Dirrell over Abraham 9-1 before that, and it wouldve been 9-2 but Dirrell had the knockdown round), so he saw an opportunity once Dirrell slipped late in the fight (in which he was being completely controlled and dominated on for the first time in his career) and chose to take his first career loss by disqualification rather than to be a man and let it go to the cards (in which the judges and referee were all changed due to the complaining of Abrahams camp), and he knocked Andre Dirrell unconscious with a punch that literally could have killed him! This man should feel lucky that he got a disqualification loss, because he's lucky that his ass is not in f ucking jail right now ... Congratulations on the local getting the biggest win of his career even if it had to come because of the ignorance and disgraceful pride of the losing fighter.

Secondly, I wanted to know, noones really talking about the fact that after that, I thought I was about to see Golota-Bowe number 1 all over again because after the illegal blow Dirrell's little brother (also a boxer) ran into the ring and tried to go after Abraham, and the promoters and officials and ring side personal and came in to break it up because then his whole corner team and his homeboys all stormed the ring, did they not show that on showtime?

          Good post bro.
I agree with and appreciate your assessment. Only one thing stood out to me as questionable was the actual damage from the punch that AA threw. It seemed, at least to me that it wasn't as serious as Dirrells made it look to be. It's good to have the update from someone who was actually there to clarify that. Dirrell certainly looked like he was in command throughout the bought and really put on a boxing clinic. Dirrell seems like a really slick fighter. Did it seem as if he got a taste of AA full power at anytime in the fight?

Definitely not, Dirrell was on the move and boxed smart, AA threw some hard shots and Dirrell caught a few flush shots but I think anyone else in the division wouldve been knocked down from them, Dirrell quickly went on the defensive though and stayed behind the jab and straight.. But he never caught Dirrell with anything significant other than 3 or 4 punches I can remember, that made me go "ooooh", and just seemed to box right through it, never showed any signs of being rocked or slowing down... Which is why if he actually was faking the illegal blow, he'd have been pissed and gotten right back up and wanted to turn his already cut face into a pizza face!
