I don't like GBP at all. As much as I hate Arum sometime, he does bring on good match ups and bring up his fighter well.

However what GBp do is almost damn right ducking, only buy big names and pay people up for their fighters mistakes.

I am a Khan fan I know he will beat Maidana on speed and skill. He is getting better under Roach and will show the world he is the top 3 best 140'ers.

What they are trying to do is force maidana into an ortiz rematch it was planned all along for ortiz and khan to fight...if all the books are closed the only money fight maidana would get would be against ortiz which has wayy more skill than cayo

They dont want any of their potential cash cows in there with a murderous puncher like maidana. They are angling for a otiz khan mini mega fight. ortiz will be matched up with aging black supremacist nate campbell who was recently signed by gbp & khan is in against a tune up in paulie malignaggi.

they have hbo dates locked up so they will use that to placate any mandatory or boxer trying to interfere with GBP fighters.

I think your letting Maidana off a little to easy. Khan's people didn't want anything to do with Maidana, but Maidana didn't have to let himself get brought off. The only reason Maidana maybe beats Khan is because he could have a chin of glass. Were it not for the Chin, Khan would comfortably beat Maidana, and he knows that. If a duck is mutual, you can't blame only one fighter. Maidana gets more experience (In the long run, this fight with Cayo will benefit Maidana), and Khan gets more time to fill out at the weight, hopefully for him strengthening his punch resistance. It's a win-win for both guys. Also, Maidana isn't too eager to give VC a rematch, who most likely would beat him.

cayo was physically humbled by maidana. i do agree with the khan outcome. khan has more talent than maidana & if he could keep his chin clear he beats maidana. easier said than done. Like i said before i guess both fighters benefit. khan gets to keep earning big money fights without beating anybody while maidana gets paid with hbo fights.

BUT THE DUCK IS NOT MUTUAL.

fighters like maidana struggle to get fights because they have no fanbase & no clout in the sport so they get politically mistreated by the boxing power brokers. maidana would never duck a big money fight vs a glass chinned hype job so far.

ortiz wants the rematch and of course it wont happen soon it will happen if ortiz can beat campbell i know why ortiz didnt have the right mind when he faught maidana...but Ortiz hits more accurate and wayy more harder than cayo...gbp and ortiz were rejected with the rematch from maidana twice...and I know alexander is open for a fight but im gbp will convince maidana to fight ortiz in order to keep proffits in house...its for the future and for the good of their business for the rematch to happen
